Bi-District Contest is Thursday, March 25

Temple will compete in the Bi-District Contest on Thursday, March 25. The contest site is the Waxahachie High School Performing Arts Center, 3001 US Hwy 287 Bypass, 75167. There is no admission charge, but audience size is limited to 50% capacity. Face masks are required. All performers and spectators will exit the space at the conclusion of each performance for it to be cleaned.

Because of COVID, this contest will follow a different schedule than normal. Schools are required to arrive in costumes and make-up. During a 2:15 time period, each school will unload, have their seven-minute set-up, have their rehearsal, immediately perform their show, strike their set and immediately receive their critique in the blackbox theatre.

Approximate performance times are:
8:00 a.m. Waxahachie High, Blue Stockings
10:20 a.m. Belton High, Proof
12:40 p.m. Midway High, The Boys Next Door
3:00 p.m. Temple High, Student Body
5:20 p.m. Duncanville High, Proof
7:40 p.m. Bryan High, 12 Angry Jurors

Adjudicators will include Phillip Taylor, Joe Allen Brown and Bronwyn Sullenberger. Contest manager is Larry Wisdom.

Two of the six schools will advance to the Region Contest, April 16-17 at Waco University High.
