Auditions for the first show of the school year, Wilderness, will be Tuesday, August 27, at 4:15 p.m. in the auditorium. All Temple High School students are eligible to audition.
The play deals with the true stories of six teenagers with various mental illnesses and other problems such as addiction and depression. Their parents send them to a wilderness therapy camp where they have to learn to cope with their self-destructive tendencies through learning basic survival skills.
Performances are October 2-6 at Meridith-Dunbar Auditorium. A shortened version of the play will also be performed at the Texas State Thespian Festival November 20-23 in Grapevine. Applications for production staff positions will also be taken at the same time as auditions.
