The three Temple Middle Schools will have public performances of their One-Act Plays on Monday, February 25, beginning at 6 p.m. at Meridith-Dunbar Auditorium, 1717 E Avenue J, Temple, TX 76501. Admission is $5 per person. The location is different this year because of construction at the high school. The three shows will run back-to-back beginning at 6 p.m., Bonham will be 1st, Travis will be 2nd (approx, 6:45), and Lamar will be 3rd (approx. 7:15).
The actual competition for Bonhan, Lamar and Travis was held on the preceding Saturday with Critic Judge Cheryl Painter. Cheryl is a graduate of Southwest Texas State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Directing and Theatrical Production.
Lamar Middle School's production of The Brother’s Grimm Spectaculaton was ranked first (Director Spencer Tolleson). Bonham Middle School's production of Bad Auditions by Bad Actors was ranked second (Director Jonathan Spear). Travis Science Academy's production of A Thousand Cranes was ranked third (Directors Jennifer Tucker and Patrick Dolan).
Best Actress was Alivea Johnson (Bonham) with Best Actor Jackson Romans (Lamar)
The All-Star Cast included Matiaya Dotson (Lamar), Skylar Gordon (Travis), Chasen Hamson (Bonham), Ashli Hauersperger (Lamar) Sophia Pacheco (Travis), Thomas Painter (Lamar), David Petrarcho (Travis), Avery Tarbet (Bonham).
The Honorable Mention All-Star Cast included Carmel Ankrom (Bonham), Izabella Dackett (Bonham), Sanyyah Galbreath (Lamar), Ashten Gradey (Bonham), Jayson Vahue (Bonham), Aurora Ismaili (Lamar), Alx Oradeskey (Lamar), Carolina Rodriguez (Travis).
Outstanding Tech Crew was from Lamar and Outstanding Technician was Zoey Hodges (Bonham).
