Parent Information for Temple's Trip to the State Meet

Here is some information for parents about Temple High's trip to the One-Act Play State Meet:

Sunday, April 22:
    2 to 5  p.m. — Rehearsal

Monday, April 23:  (wear Tan State Show shirts)
    8:15 a.m. Students' call at the high school for rehearsal
    Run the show and load the truck
    10 a.m. — Parents set-up tables and decorations for Send-Off Brunch
    11 a.m. — Brunch is served
    11:30 a.m. — Decorate the bus while brunch is going on
    12 Noon — Bus departs for Round Rock
    1 p.m. — Bus arrives at hotel
    2 p.m. — Bus depart for Round Rock PAC
    Afternoon — Parents decorate hotel room doors, deliver treat bags to each room
    2:30 p.m. — Box office opens, cash only
    4 p.m. — Attend 4A first-session performances
    7:15 p.m. — Go to dinner
    Get to be early

Tuesday, April 24:  (wear Black THS Theatre shirts, later change to dress clothes)
    6 a.m. — Leave hotel to go unload set
    6:45 a.m. — Unloading time for shows #4 through #6
    Not later than 7:30 a.m. — All eight schools will meet at the PAC to review details of the contest
    10:45 a.m. — Team reports to the dressing room
    11:15 a.m. — 50-minute rehearsal for Temple
    12:15 p.m. — Lunch
    2:30 p.m. — Box office opens, cash only
    4 p.m. — First session begins (four plays)
    6:15 p.m. (approx) — Temple performs as the 4th play of the day (first session)
    7:30 p.m. — Second session begins (four plays)
    8:00 p.m. — Team goes to Dinner
    9:30 p.m. — Return to hotel to get into award-ceremony clothes
    10:15 p.m. — Return to Round Rock PAC for awards ceremony
    After final play — Judges votes will be tallied and we'll have the Awards Ceremony

Wednesday, April 25:  (wear Green Verge shirts)
    9:30 a.m. — Bus departs for Round Rock PAC
    10 a.m. — Judge's critiques of 5A shows
    11 a,n, — Lunch
    4 p.m. — Watch first session of 6A shows
    7:30 p.m. — Watch 2nd session of 6A shows
    Afterwards — Everyone returns to Temple except Theatrical Design State Finalists

Thursday, April 26: 
    9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. — Theatrical Design Critiques and Master Classes
    3 p.m. — Theatrical Design Awards Ceremony, Round Rock PAC

Friday, April 27:
    7 p.m. — Final Public Performance, Temple High auditorium
