Temple High Theatre will be hosting the UIL 4A Area Contest for one-act plays from Districts 17 through 20. The event will be Thursday, March 29, in the Temple High Auditorium, with performances beginning at 3 p.m. and running back-to-back. Admission is $10 per person. Concessions will be available. Audience members may enter and exit only between performances.
Natasha Tolleson is serving as contest manager. Adjudicators include Melissa Green, Brad Nies and Brian Hamlin. Three of the six schools will advance to the regional contest, which will be April 13 at Atascocita High in Humble, TX.
Here is the approximate schedule, but times can vary depending on length of each show and if the contest is running on time.
3:00 p.m. Salado High, Scuttlers
3:50 p.m. Connally High (Waco), Should Not Cause Harm
4:40 p.m. Liberty Hill High, More Fun Than Bowling
5:30 p.m. Athens High, Ted Kaczynski Killed People with Bombs
6:20 p.m. Robinson High, The Cry of the Peacock
7:10 p.m. Tom Glenn High (Leander), The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
The awards ceremony will follow after the judges have deliberated and scores are tallied.
