Temple One-Act Play Advances to Area

Temple's UIL One-Act Play team advanced from bi-district to the area contest on Friday, April 1. The bi-district contest was held at College Station High School. Temple is now one of only 48 schools remaining in this single-elimination statewide tournament.

Emma Tolleson was named bi-district Best Actress. Andrew Tye was named to the All-Star Cast, and Latrice Scott was selected for the Honorable Mention All-Star Cast. Sam Little was named an All-Star Technician.

The area contest will be Friday, April 8 at Lone Star College, 30555 Tomball Parkway, Tomball TX 77375. Competition begins at 10:30 a.m. with Temple as the first show. (Rehearsals are the day before.) Admission is $10 per person. Three of the six schools will advance to the regional contest.

*11:30 a.m. Brenham High, She Kills Monsters
*12:30 p.m. Tomball High, After Juliet
1:30 to 2 p.m. Intermission
*2:00 p.m. College Station High, Othello
*3:00 p.m. Magnolia High, Bob: A Life in Five Acts
*4:00 p.m. Pflugerville Connally, Mrs. Packard
*Shows run back-to-back so performance times are approximated.
